Hatha Yoga Juneteenth Celebration
w/NYA PATRINOS
"Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. Note that this was two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation - which had become official January 1, 1863. . . ."

Kundalini Activation Process (KAP)
w/KIMBERLY JAMES
KAP stands for Kundalini Activation Process and is a direct Kundalini Transmission that activates the Awakening of your Kundalini energy. This is an intelligent energy, and a safe, natural process that does just what your system needs in any given moment. This is a transmission process, not a self-generated process. It is a path of surrender (not a path of the will) that creates possibilities for healing, higher states of consciousness and a deeper connection to source. This is not Kundalini yoga. Detailed description is available on the Eventbrite page.

Bikram Yoga
w/DIONNE C MONSANTO
Bikram yoga is a series made up of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. Every posture, except the final posture — the spinal twist, is done twice, so there is always a second chance to improve your alignment and to go deeper. The class is conducted in a heated room in order to warm you up from the inside out, bones to skin. This makes it easier to stretch tendons and muscles and helps to prevent injury or over-strain. Bikram yoga’s twenty-six posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order while promoting proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being.

Feminine Divine Decolonizing
w/SARAH MOTTA
This is a place to connect to the Friday zoom divine feminine decolonising yoga sessions I am offering for BIPOC folks and trusted accomplices who we consider kin.
We need safe spaces where we can practice and share healing justice work. We need to be held so we can (re)connect to our deep embodied wisdoms and our infinite connections to the ancestors and Madre Tierra/Country.
My intention is to hold such a space and energy and to embody this healing work through my offering of decolonising feminine divine yoga. This yoga praxis builds on the feminine lineages of my peoples and reconnection to the ancestral Black/Indigenous Mother who connects us all and who is returning to presence in these times of transformation and our collective liberation.
Sessions combine shapes (in the Forrest, Yin and Tantra traditions), breath, ritual and sacred energy to support our ongoing justice work to decolonise ourselves and return to wholeness which is our birthright. Each session will work with a different energy/emotion so for example it may be coming back into our body, working with courage/fear, embodying our joy.
No previous yoga experience necessary.
